Day 44

Up late last night until 1 am. I found a web site that will publish my short stories. No pay, but I'll get critiqued by credible (I hope) writers. Website works on a point system. I critique others, I get points. Five points, I can present. So into the wee hours, I was a critic, my main admonition being: We must eschew obfuscation! At least in the stories I read. (Much too wordy. Too many odd 'thesaurus' words). Now I have the points to present my own stories. Scribophile.com

Hope I'm not spending too much time with my short stories, getting them placed on another site, getting them critiqued. Again with the problem of procrastination. A constant fight it seems. I will finish my book soon. Promise.

While I rough drafted this blog post, I presented my off beat, fantasy/adult short story to the site. AND...Seems I already have 2 critiques. My first story publication. We'll see how well it's accepted, or if there is a demand I never present there again! Short story's called, 'Over Extended.'

Since I used up my 'karma points,' presenting my story, I'll have to now critique to build up my points again. I need five for my next story. So I might be up late again tonight.

Alas, when will I finish my book?
